Seven induction codes, one instruction: disconnect power for a few seconds and reconnect. If the code lasts, call with the exact code.
Model compatibility: KitchenAid reuses codes across series and model years, so F0E2 / F0E6 / F0E8 / F0EC … may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
Manufacturer-listed codes; the source says to disconnect power briefly and call service if the code persists.
The seven codes here come with no stated cause. KitchenAid wrote one short article for each, they are all the same, and each offers one recovery step plus a rule about when to call.
The seven codes
F0E2
F0E6
F0E8
F0EC
F6E1
F7E5
F7E6
Single recovery step
Take the cooktop off its power supply.
Leave it a few seconds.
Connect it to the power supply again.
How to disconnect is not explained. On a built-in cooktop, its circuit breaker is the usual way to cut power. Removing covers or touching wiring should be left alone.
The call instruction
If the problem persists, KitchenAid tells you to call the service center and give the error code shown on the display. For that reason, make a note of which of the seven appears before dialing; the manufacturer’s pages list each one separately.
Not covered
No part, temperature or cookware condition is named for any of these codes. Other documentation for your model might say more.
Recording the code
Since you are asked to name the code on the call, the display is your main evidence, and a photo of it helps. Disconnect, wait and reconnect once. Code still there? Note it and call.
