Three FCE codes with one meaning: the range could not reach your router.
Model compatibility: KitchenAid reuses codes across series and model years, so FCE1 / FCE2 / FCE3 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
KitchenAid says FCE1, FCE2 and FCE3 mean the appliance could not connect to the router, owing to a time-out, weak signal, the router, the Wi-Fi module or the wiring.
Codes beginning with FCE belong to KitchenAid’s connected-appliance features and have nothing to do with cooking. FCE1, FCE2 and FCE3 are worded identically: the range could not link up with the router. Listed as possible reasons: a time-out in the connection, a weak signal, a failed router, the range’s own Wi-Fi module, or its wiring.
Order of checks
Reset your wireless router.
See whether other Wi-Fi devices in the home are working properly.
Do the same with a smartphone or tablet, and carry it over to the range to test there.
If both pass, pull the router’s plug for two full minutes before reconnecting. Then disconnect the appliance from power for another two minutes and reconnect.
Weak signal options
Move the router somewhere else in the home.
Obtain a compatible signal extender.
Speak with your internet provider.
Breaker reset
The page also covers a breaker reset: switch off for a minute, switch on, then spend a minute observing the appliance and verify operation.

Where a technician comes in
Both the Wi-Fi module and the wiring figure among KitchenAid’s possible causes. If the code persists even with a repaired router and a strong signal, those parts need testing by a technician.
Other connection codes
FCE7 reports that the module has no path to the internet.
FCE6 / FCE9 name the Wi-Fi power module or wiring.
